There’s thousands of mythical creatures. Elves and fairies are more of the popular ones, but there’s a whole lot more than the creatures you’re used to. There’s kobolds in my bookThe Exodus of the Elves, along with a few more less-known creatures like fetches and clurichauns. So what’s your favorite “mythical creature”?
We’ve been adding new chapters to Astrild’s Journal every day! You can find the newest journal entries here: http://www.wattpad.com/6285193-astrild%27s-journal-journal-entries-18-20
Also, we just added 2 new chapters toThe Exodus of the Elveslast night! We’re really excited about these chapters because they’re both the start of something BIG.
Chapter 7: “On the Brink of War”: http://www.wattpad.com/5388611-the-exodus-of-the-elves-chapter-7-on-the-brink-of
Chapter 8: “Silence before Chaos”: http://www.wattpad.com/5388615-the-exodus-of-the-elves-chapter-8-silence-before

A new work on Wattpad is up called Astrild’s Journal, a companion to The Exodus of the Elves. It follows Astrild’s journeys as he attempts to share magic with other beings. A lot of it will be journal entries that fill in the gap between chapters 5 and 7 from The Exodus of the Elves. It’s updated daily! http://www.wattpad.com/story/1792799-astrild%27s-journal
Here are 2 stories I discovered recently on Wattpad, and I urge you to check them out!
This first one is about a young half-Elf who was orphaned at a very young age and has to live off the streets. Later, she is made an apprentice of Narak, the Elite Captain of the Nychian Armed Forces. The story is part of a series called “The Canic Chronicles” and this is the first story called “The Letter.” Here’s the link: http://www.wattpad.com/story/1612430-tcc-book-1-the-letter
The second one is about a woman named Samantha Worthington Day who leaves for America after her home, England, is invaded by monsters that once only existed in nightmares. But when she arrives at America, it isn’t as “nightmare-free” as she hoped. The story is called “The N Chronicles.” Here’s the link: http://www.wattpad.com/5688490-the-n-chronicles-introduction
Check ‘em out on Wattpad! Chapter 5: “Here Be Dragons” and Chapter 6: “Fire and Water” are edited! The next 2 chapters should be out around next week. Thanks for reading:)

I stayed up all night for the opening ceremony, whew! Oh Miss Rowling, it was a nice suprise to see you reading at the opening ceremony, celebrating Great Britain’s awesome history of children’s classic literature. It was really cool! It was amazing to see them celebrating that particular aspect of Great Britain. That’s where we get most of our popular fairytales and fantasy stories from. C. S. Lewis. J. R. R. Tolkien. Lewis Caroll. And of course J. K. Rowling herself. I’m proud to be continuing the fantasy genre along with thousands of other users on Wattpad and published authors today. May we continue to inspire the imagination and creativity of children, adults, and the elderly alike.
Happy 2012 Olympic Games!
This is just a blog post I read today by a radio host. It’s some cultural commentary.

Last night, dozens of moviegoers in Aurora, Colorado were killed and injured while watching a midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises.” The murderer released tear gas in the theater and shot as many people as he could. The victims included young children. This was caused by violence.
You see violence on TV screens and you don’t even flinch at it. But you might smile and think, “Oh man, now it’s getting good!” Guys, violence is no fairytale. It isn’t an element that only exists as pixels on screen or as ink in a book. Violence is real and is a horrible, horrible thing.
I haven’t seen “The Dark Knight Rises,” but I’ve heard there’s a lot of blood, screaming, and senseless violence.
What causes violence in this world? I believe it to be a cancer. Something that spreads. It spreads into our minds and infiltrates the part of our brain that controls our morals and ethics and beliefs.
Now, I’m not saying that arming yourself with a shotgun in defense is wrong. If someone is threatening you or your family, you should bring up a defense. What is wrong is that evil inside a person that causes them to do horrible, offensive things that harm other people. People are human and born with an evil nature.
How do we overcome this evil? Look, I’m a Christian, and I believe Jesus Christ is the ultimate answer to this problem. The human race needs help.
Violence is no fairytale, people. You know what else isn’t a fairytale? The very real magic of happiness and kindness. This is the cure to violence. Be happy; you never know when someone needs it.
Chapter 7 (title unconfirmed) and Chapter 8: “Silence before Chaos” are being written and should be finished within the next couple weeks. I know Chapter 8 will be finished very soon, but it will have to wait for Chapter 7 until it can be posted on Wattpad.
Chapter 7 will skip ahead in Astild’s timeline. It will briefly tell the journeys of Astrild, Agilas, Edron, and Corbic from the past hundred years, and then introduce some dark creatures that were never intended to be.
In Chapter 8: “Silence before Chaos”, Melissa finally begins her journey with Robyn and Tristan to find Hodekin. Unfortunately, the portal they exited from the last chapter threw them somewhere unexpected. Malfunction? Or was it intended? Well fortunately, they’re closer to Hodekin’s lair, though still a long way off.
I, the one and only Apollo, wrote Chapter 6: “Fire and Water.” This chapter starts out with Melissa dreaming about some elves. Hmm…. I wonder what this means…. Anyways, they get the journal from Melissa’s house (but not before finding that the final pages of the journal are sealed *gasp!*), and fly off to Dragon Settlement 1836. There they meet Aiden, a mail-delivering merman from New Atlantis, and Master Reed. Tristan gets his sword, and they finally start their journey!!! But it doesn’t go quite as planned, of course… Where do they end up when the portal goes berzerk?! Find out: http://www.wattpad.com/3306525-the-exodus-of-the-elves-chapter-6-fire-and-water
Ok, so Chapter 5: “Here Be Dragons.” Artemis (a.k.a Aubrey, my cousin) wrote this chapter following the continuing journey of Astrild and his quest of sharing magic. Two characters introduced in Chapter 3: “Magic and Murder” accompany Astrild: Edron, a former member of a nomadic tribe who became a sorcerer when Astrild gave him magic; and Corbic the clurichaun, who will find out more about in chapter 5. In this chapter, Astild and company plan to journey to the dragons. When they get near the dragons’ cave, an old friend shows up just in time when a dragon attacks. Who is it?!
